Teri came last week to pick up Dulcie ... she came down from Lancaster and spent a few days with me and Dilly-dog ... it was such fun having a puppy in the house .... at 10 weeks old, Dulcie is almost as big as Dilly at 6 months ... they loved being together ... I think Dilly thought she was Dulcies mummy or that she was responsible for her ... she kept shepherding her ... it was quite funny to watch!

:: Teri and Dulcie ::

Dilly and Dulcie playing in the snow ... very hard to take photos of 2 manic puppies!

after they left Dilly slept all day ... I think she was exhausted from her 'mummy' duties!

eden burning
:: if I go up ::

A greener grass, a cooler shade,
I have sought for, I’ve often fought for
A higher hill and a fairer shore,
I have cried for, almost died for

So far have I traveled. So far have I traveled.

A stronger hour, a deeper mind,
I have strived for I’ve been alive for
a lasting love and a quiet heart,
I have wronged for, I’ve always longed for.

So far have I traveled. So far have I traveled.

And now I lie and looking back,
I’m seeing hopes fading dreams growing distant
My hands are worn, yet nothing hold
as life like smoke curls through fingers.

So far have I traveled. So far have I traveled.

And through the mist of bygone years,
I sense the truth for all who travel
And through the mist of bygone years,
I sense the truth for all who travel,

If I go up to the heavens you are there.
And if I make my bed in the depths you’ll be there
If I rise on the wings of the dawn you’ll be there
And if I settle on the far side of the sea you’ll be there
Even there your hand will guide me even there,
And lead me in the way of everlasting.
no, not for me!!

I have been telling my friend Teri what a blessing Dilly-dog is to my life, and she had decided she would love a puppy/dog too ... so I have been helping her search for one. She wants a Cornish puppy, and this evening Bex, my sister-in-law, and I went to check one out ... check one out and fall in love ...

This is her ...

her mother is a Springer Spaniel but her father is from the neighbouring farm and is Border Collie. You can see she has pretty marking on her neck.

Teri is going to come down to stay in a few weeks to pick her up ... its going to be great fun!!

there were lots of puppies .... most of them had been chosen to go to new homes already, but there were a few boys left and this one girl that Teri is having. They will be ready to leave their mother in 2 weeks.

You can't beat an evening of puppy cuddling!
I had this bright idea to take some Christmas photos of Dilly ... but she didn't think it was such a bright idea ... the hat was a bit big, and she thoughts it would be more fun to chew it ;)

I only managed to get this one, because she fell asleep
Kara-bean, my little niece came over today ... she and Dilly love each other very much ... I love how happy she looks!

(photos taken on my phone)
I have made a couple bags for Dilly-dog ... one is for her bits and bobs and the other is for her toys ...

They are made out of a couple of sarongs that I have and I crochet the draw string. what do you think?
I am thinking about how Dilly will look when she is older ... like her parents maybe!? ... here they are ... Jess her mum and Digby, her dad.

If you would like to follow her adventures you can here!
PitaPata Dog tickers
so Dilly-dog did sleep in her crate at night when I first got her, but her cuddles on my bed before she went to sleep got longer and longer and I just love having her snuggle up to me ... so she now sleeps with me ... don't tell me off ... cos I just don't care ;)

she snuggles right down in the bed and rests her head on my leg, then about an hour or so later when its too hot for her down there she comes up for air!

this is my brothers girlfriend ... Dilly-dog loves her and she loves Dilly-dog :D
(this last photo was taken on my phone)
so my brothers really love Dilly-dog ...

(taken on my phone)
I have been working crazy hours this week ... I feel like I should be doing this ...

I have had Dilly-dog for a month!! .... yes I am still besotted ;)
so I emailed Dilly's breeders a few days ago to ask if they had any photos of her when she was even more teeny-weeny than she is now ... and they sent me these ... this was her the day she was born ... look she had that little white fleck on the top of her head and the white patch on her nose ...
this was the whole litter, 3 girls and 4 boys ... Dilly is the little brown one in the middle half lying on her big brother ... or is that big sister ... you can see the little fleck on the top of her head there too :)
she also sent me a photo of her mum and dad ... Jess is the one looking back ... you can see she is pregnant ... and Digby is the one looking forward ... good looking couple eh!! haha
I am so pleased to have these photos ... its amazing to see how much she has grown in 8 weeks
I know I can't help it ... more photos coming up ... taken with my phone ...

time for a new collar and doesn't she look smart ...

she does sleep in funny positions!!
now you have to admit ... these are the cutest photos EVER ...

I think everyone should have a puppy ... look at those pretty eyes!

She has been to the vets for her first set of jabs ... she still can't go out for a walk till her 2nd set next week, but I took her to my friends house to meet up with her doggies. She was so good and they loved her :)
yes I am still in love ... and the sun has been shining today too, so we spent most of the day playing in the garden.

Dilly was great last night, didn't cry for her mum like all the puppy books said she would ... I think thats cos she knows I am her mummy now ;) ... and she came back in the middle of the night, when I let her out to do a wee.

she is just soooo edible!
well this has to be the best day ever ... EVER!!

I got her ... little Dilly-dog ... her name totally suits her ... I am sitting here with her on my lap and her head resting on my laptop ... I have just emailed my Auntie 'guess what I have' kinda email :D

Bex, my sister in law came with me to pick her up ... I called her late last night, squealed down the phone, so they all came over here this morning ... Bex and I went over to visit her and pay a deposit ... we then raced into town and I spent a small fortune buying doggy things ... crate, bed, food, lead, bowls etc ... I was very excited ... we then popped home for a quick lunch and back to pick her up. Bex held her as I was driving and she was so good (dilly-dog was too! haha!!!) ... mind you its only about 10 mins down the road.

Once back home we all went out into the garden to watch her explore ...

I am a bit worried about letting her out at night ... will she come back when I call her and it will be dark and I wont be able to find her ... but oh, she is so sweet and good and hardly had any accidents ... I LOVE HER!!
