Crazy Pup (Gracie) wasn't settling this afternoon and as her mummy & daddy are away at the moment I thought she was maybe needing extra cuddles. So I sat on the sofa and two doggies snuggled up to me. I flicked on the TV and Mary Poppins was on. Now I know a lot of people either love it or hate it ... I'm afraid I quite like it. Mary was just singing about feeding the birds ... it always reminds me of that song Streets of London by Ralph McTell.

Early each day to the steps of Saint Paul's
The little old bird woman comes.
In her own special way to the people she calls,
"Come, buy my bags full of crumbs.

Come feed the little birds, show them you care
And you'll be glad if you do.
Their young ones are hungry,
Their nests are so bare;
All it takes is tuppence from you."

Feed the birds, tuppence a bag,
Tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag.
"Feed the birds," that's what she cries,
While overhead, her birds fill the skies.

All around the cathedral the saints and apostles
Look down as she sells her wares.
Although you can't see it, you know they are smiling
Each time someone shows that he cares.

Though her words are simple and few,
Listen, listen, she's calling to you:
"Feed the birds, tuppence a bag,
Tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag."

Here is a silly fact about Mary Poppins that I only found out last year ... you know the old crazy banker ... he was acted by Dick Van Dyke!

Sadly though Gracie still didn't settle ... as soon as I got up she just started being a pain again!
It's been so hot ... its lovely ... playing in the garden and finding my lovely stone that I bury and every now and again dig it up to make sure its ok ... but then I have to bury it again to keep it safe.
.... but when I come in after playing, I am so hot ... I have a big drink and then flop on the cool of the kitchen floor. I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine x

I had a nice surprise today ... been working hard, then my sister in law offered to treat me to a trip to the cinema ... yey! And the film? Prince of Persia ... a lovely bit of escapism. Now I have never in any shape or form fancied Jake Gyllenhaal ... but in this film he was sooooo lovely .... happy dreams tonight!

I often have aches and pains in my fingers (a bit of hereditary arthritis) and sometimes wear a magnetic bracelet that does help ... yes one I made!

I thought it was about time I made some to sell too ... so here it is ... I have been playing with magnetic pearls and pretty sterling silver flowers ...
... a bracelet ...
... earrings ...
... a necklace that's a long string & just attaches at the front ....
... or can be worn wrapped around your wrist as a bracelet ...

I hope you like them and will be listing them soon of Folksy.
I have gone to bed early tonight and have been having the most lovely cuddle with dilly-dog ...

it has been really lovely and I have managed to do lots of writing and listening to music. Dilly-dog is so warm and soft
While sorting through my sewing things I have re-discovered all my half finished projects .... samplers, patchwork & crochet. I wonder when I will have the time to finish them.
This is on of my patchwork projects made out of all the scraps of material I have. Some material is old skirts that I used to wear.
I think summer is on its way ... dilly-dog and Gracie have found some summer by the back door ... they love sunshine ...

they look relaxed don't they :)
