Welcome to 'Tips and Wrinkles' ... here I will pass on some useless and hopefully useful tips ...

Do you suffer from Plantar Fasciitis? what is that I hear you ask? well it is inflammation of your plantar fascia. Your plantar fascia is a strong band of tissue (like a ligament) that stretches from your heel to your middle foot bones. It supports the arch of your foot and also acts as a shock-absorber in your foot. It can be like walking on nails and incredibly painful.
I had it about 4 years ago when we moved into a very old house with hard wooden floors. I walk about in bare feet all the time and I also have quite high arches in my feet. I put up with it for about a year, not really knowing what it was but after some research I found that someone suggesting sitting with a bag of frozen peas under your feet (wrapped in a towel) for about 20mins, 3 times a day (sounds strange I know) ... well over the Christmas holidays when I was back home with my parents, my mum (bless her) decided that I couldn't go on hobbling around and made me do this ... I did it for a week ... it was quite painful ... but it worked, when I got home there was a noticeable difference ... I could get out of bed in the morning and walk around fine! It's such a simple thing that can help such crippling pain.
If you have plantar fasciitis please try some frozen veg ... it may help and you will have happy-feet again!

week 43
:: reflection ::

As you may have gathered over the last few months ... I have been enjoying doing my nails ... so much so that my usual pot of clear nail varnish and its friend my pot of gold nail varnish have been joined by about 10 others (mostly shades of pink! hehe) ... well for a few weeks I have been on the look out for something to put my ever growing nail varnish collection in ... well today I found it ... a pretty little wooden basket ... in the antiques centre of all things (although it isn't old!)

... and look ........ lots more room for other varnishes that may come along!

To celebrate my new container, I have re-done my nails ... spotty dotty ...

It's sooo hot ... I am meant to be studying, but I am just too hot ... now inspired by CRAFTYMINX's lovely nails I bought some shades of pink nail varnish this morning from the factory shop ... only £1 each!

Painting my nails is about where my concentration has been this afternoon, so here they are ...

... the little one on the end I already had ...

Shades of pink ... I love them! and I am really loving the nail varnish ... it's made by New York Color. I have bought nail varnish cheap before and it has been horrid and rubbish, but this is lovely ... I have to go back into town tomorrow so may just have to pop back in there and see what other colours I can get!

Well me and my pink nails really should start studying ... its raining heavily now so hopefully it will clear the air.

and here is a moodboard to keep me in the pink mood!

Rose ~ Scooter ~ Sleeping Beauty ~ Hair ~ Vintage ~ Nails
I am sitting here a very happy girl with a little pile of pretty china beside me ...

I bought these last week in town ... a set of 3 bowls

They have Empire Porcelain Co. Staffordshire on the back

... guess how much?? ... 3 bowls for 50p (charity shop)

... and from one of my favourite shops in town ... this little jug and sugar bowl ...

I have been eying them up for weeks ... well I succumbed and bought them ... £7.00 for the pair ... not sure if that is good or not, but I love them!
They are made by Colclough China and are the most delicious shade of pink :)

On Wednesday I had a lovely shopping trip to Hereford with my mum ... and got this ...

It is a tiny glass pin dish / trinket dish and perfect for my rings ... it was from a charity shop for 75p ... perfect condition and perfect colour ;)

Then I won on eBay this sweet little ring holder, in exactly the same pink ...

It arrived on Saturday and was only 99p ... there was a little p&p as well, but as it went so perfectly with the trinket dish, I couldn't resist!

This is them in situ

Happy thrifting!
