My
handbag, lovely though it is, is not that big ... not really big enough for when I take lunch to work so I have been thinking of getting another ... a girl can never have too many after all!
I remembered
Sophies post on her blog about her Clippy bag and how you could personalise it ... so I popped over to
clippykitlondon.co.uk and had a lovely half an hour deciding what to get :)
I only ordered it on Thursday evening and it arrived on Monday morning! I had to wait till I got back from work though before I could have fun decorating it.
I have decided to go for a winter theme. I think I will be changing it often as I have lots of ideas, but I am loving this one at the moment.
I have used a photo that I took last winter in that amazing hoar frost we had, a keep calm picture, some buttons sewn on to some winter card, postcards and snowflakes on some blue silk material.
... and this is the other side ...
It has an old photo of me and 2 of my brothers (my other brothers were not born then) some Christmas paper, some postcards, a cross stitch that I did years ago of a winter house and some Christmas stamps from 1984.
As
Clippy are offering free postage on orders over £30 and I am done with all my Christmas shopping (I know, very-sadly-organized!) I had to spend more on myself! haha
So I bought a folder (I am thinking it will come in useful for my photography course) and a pretty folder which I am going to keep my
Clippy bits in ... bits and bobs I find or things I make ready for its next reincarnation!
I LOVE it and can't wait to start on the folder :)
As it has turned very cold I decided to make my own
GINGERBREAD COFFEE .... and boy was it good :) ... for this instance, cooking has become a craft, hehe.
If you would like to have a go, here is the recipe ... this will make a few drinks:
150g Molasses or Black Treacle
75g Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Ginger
3/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
300g Single Cream
Coffee Powder & Hot Water
Spray Can of Whipped Cream
Chocolate Sugar Strands to decorate.
Mix the molasses (or black treacle) with the sugar and spices till well
blended. This is best done in the measuring jug that you used to measure
the molasses or you will lose a lot of it sticking to the side of the
jug. It will be a very stiff mixture. Put it in the fridge for at least
10 mins. This mixture will last for ages if you want save some for
another day.
Put a teaspoon of coffee powder into a (each if you are making more than one) mug and add hot water until 1/4 full.
Stir in a heaped teaspoon of the molasses mixture and mix till dissolved.
Top up with hot water to 1 inch (2.5cm) from the top of the mug.
Stir in the single cream to taste.
Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate strands.
Enjoy :)
I hope you link up anything you have made or photos you have taken :)
Ever thought drawing was hard? Well here is a quick easy way to draw an owl ...
draw an oval
make a rounded 'w' shape like the top of an upside-down heart about half way down the oval.
between the 'w' shape add a little 'v' for the beak.
add 2 eyes.
draw 2 little ears on each side of the head near the top.
add 2 wings ...
... and 2 legs.
optional is adding an round bit below the beak to make a different coloured tummy.
I have left the face white, so it is like a barn owl :)
I would love to see any you draw or variations you make.

Last April
I started a weaving project on one of my looms ... a sweet owl in a tree. I haven't done much over the summer on it, but I have recently picked it up again and done a little ...
It looks a little like a volcano at the moment, not the bottom of a tree
and I can't wait till I get higher up and can work on the owl and some
leaves :)
Winter and cold weather always make me want to do wool related projects.
What projects have you got going on at the moment?
A few months ago I re-did my
website ... and I have a cute little owl that takes you back to
my home page ... I love owls ... so this weeks Moodboard is OWLS
We are staying at my brothers and we went for a walk near where he lives and fed some ducks :)
So apart from a lot of lovely shopping this week I have also been sucked into the world of Doctor Who ... I watched it when I was little ... good old Sylvester McCoy and his side-kick, Ace ... it was soooo 80's!
I have only seen a few episodes but am really enjoying it ... we are having a chilling out day tomorrow ... no more shopping, but watching some films and some more Doctor Who :)
So how many of you are big fans?
