This morning I was having one of those days when I wish I could just stay in bed & not go to work, where all I want to do is cry and eat nice things. One of those days when none of my clothes fit and when I do decide on a dress I need help getting the zip up as my boobs have grown!!!
... but it is also one of those days where you put on your make up, have lots of cups of tea (always helps!) and face the world ... one of those days where doggy kisses go a long way and wagon wheels are a welcome treat ;) ... one of those days where you put it down to hormones and hope tomorrow will be better.
This months challenge was to make some pretty blossom ..... and this is what I made ...
I felted some cherry blossom and then embroidered in the centre of the 3 main flowers. I want to frame it as my first piece of felting, but will wait till I have somewhere to actually hang it first ... so for now I will keep it safe :)
... so did you manage to make anything blossom? If you did I would love to see ... please link up below x
I am sooooo pleased with this weeks find :)
there was a seller on eBay last week with 4 listings each with 4 antique lace bobbins ... only 99p per listing and she would combine p&p ... I missed the end of the auctions, so when she re-listed them I watched them very diligently! haha
and whoooo ... I managed to get them all ... 16 lace bobbins for £3.96 :)
I had an email on Friday to say they had been posted and that she had added a couple more bobbins that she had in with them ...
I got home from my few days away to a parcel full of bobbins ... FULL ... she hadn't just added a couple more ... she had sent me 16 more ... so I had 32 antique bobbins for £3.96 + a little postage and packing ... antique bobbins usually cost about £6.00 each! I am one happy bunny :)

My name is Megan Denham and I love to blog about the art of crochet.
My blog is Tampa Bay Crochet, where I share free patterns, tips and tutorials. I learned to crochet a few years ago by watching online tutorials and reading how-to books. I started by making gifts for friends and family and eventually began selling some merchandise on Etsy. I hope to become the go to site for everything crochet.

I have been a total tourist today ... I am back in East Sussex visiting my brother, sister-in-law, niece and crazy pup ...
I used to live here a few years ago, so its lovely being back and being able to enjoy a day trip to Brighton :)
... always loved the great shopping here, but this time we walked along the sea front, went on the pier, had crepes and ice-cream ...
and visited the sea life centre, which although has gone up in price (a lot) in the last 5 years is totally worth a visit :) .......... can you see my mum and dad toasting the queen's jubilee below?
I have also really caught the sun ... as I am sure half the country has today ;)

I have had a few facebook pages ... for my business, for my craft blog and for other things ... sadly facebook won't let you change the name of your page ... well you can if you have less that 200 likes, but not the URL, just the name of your page, but I have tried this before and although it says it's do-able ... it doesn't work.
... so I have had to make a new one and here it is ~
my new page ...
... I hope you will pop by and chat ... I want it to be a lovely social space where we can share and talk about things we love ... crafts, fashion, shopping, bargains and general prettiness!
I was looking through old photos on my phone earlier today and found a couple from a visit to my brother and sister-in-laws last autumn ... my gorgeous niece copied onto her magnetic picture thing, a picture that
Bex (sis-in-law, best friend and all time soon to be 2nd time scrummy-mummy) has on her wall :)
Going to see them this weekend ... I am so excited ... and yes I will be blogging from my iPad ;) haha
I have been playing with an app I got a month ago but not really tried out much till now (yep, another camera app!) It's called
PERCOLATOR and it makes your photos like its brewing a cup of coffee (it will make sense if you try it out)
This photo of me was the first photo I took on my iPad (which may I add I am doing my first blog post on)
I do look a bit like I a rabbit caught in the headlights! ... but I am really loving the effects and will the last photo makes me want to try and make a picture out of coloured buttons
I hope you all have a great Monday ... I'm off to work in a bit and I had better go as I've got some post bits to do first. x
I would like to introduce you to ...
I mainly started out my blog to promote my online jewellery business, Trinket Box. I have since closed my shop, but do still make jewellery and talk about it through my blog. But my blog has changed lots over the past few months and I tend to blog about other things too. I mainly focus on nail art, baking and crafty DIY projects, but also post the odd 'wishlist' post and posts on the photos I have taken with my lomography cameras. I just write about what makes me happy.

I have been making lace since I was 13. I taught a friend a few years later, then a few aunties and my mum ... some family friends ... then some other friends ... then I had a class ... I loved it ... I love the sound the bobbins make as they clunk against the pillow ... I love the beads on the spangles ... I love the history ... I love all the different patterns you can make from just two stitches ... I love it all and I miss teaching it ...........
so ....... if you live in Herefordshire and want to learn, please
let me know :)
