as I said before I wasn't going to have a seating plan so wanted a branch for the wedding favours to hang on, then mum and I had the idea that they would be in a basket and the bridesmaids would go round handing them out, but thinking about the practicalities of it being a carvery and tables getting up one at a time for the first course and the room not being that big, I did give in and do the traditional thing of putting the gifts on the tables.

I made lots of wooden keyrings, personalised them with everyones name and tried to pick shapes that were suitable for each person ... even though they had their names on, I wanted to add tags that matched the seating tags, so made some slightly smaller!

I really enjoyed making them, although when Timber decided to eat one, I wasn't that impressed that I had to make another!

When we started planning our wedding I knew exactly what look and feel I wanted ... very country-ish sage green-gingham with cream and birds and roses ... gypsophelia flowers and gold ... I also knew I wanted to make as much of it as possible so it was truly a homemade wedding

after mum and I searching and searching we eventually found exactly the right shade of sage green gingham for the table clothes and bought 18 meters ... we did think about making the boys ties out of it too ... but they ended up with something different so lots of table clothes were then made ...

my dad drinks lots of lemon and honey tea and has runny honey in it too, he gets through a jar or so a week, so I asked mum to save me some ... about 30+ and after collecting lots of pretty ribbon and lace that fitted in with my colours I tied 3 different ribbons around the top of each jar ...

each one has a different combination of ribbons and the 3 bows are spaces around the top so they can be seen from each side.

I wasn't going to have table numbers or place settings, it was going to be very much a sit where you like, but due to the size of the room and the amount of guests we had, the only way was to have a seating plan ... so I made table numbers. My dad and brother added wood to the bottom so they would stand up.

I used a part of one of those canvas wardrobes, that we used when Timber was little to block off the living room, like a puppy gate, for the seating plan. Each table was printed out and tied on in the right layout.

for the for everyones places I didn't want more clutter on the table so I made tags to tie on to the chairs ...

I made Steve and mine with our full name and a bit bigger ... well we are the reason for the day!! ;)

I tied them all with different ribbons and lace to match the jars and everything else ...

this is how it all came together ...

week 39 ... the trees are turning even more!
week 40 ... yep the fog is back, most mornings these last 2 weeks and some days it doesn't go at all.

for our country wedding, I knew we had to have bunting ... so I sewed and sewed metres and metres of bunting ... this bright stuff was for the outside ...

and this softer coloured bunting was for inside ...

I also used some doily bunting that I made back in the Spring, as well as some bunting I made years ago for fair display ... I probably could have made another 50 odd metres, but I was really pleased with how it came out :)

not sure what I am going to do with it all now!!

Steve took me and the dogs out for a drive around the Welsh hills the other evening. It was a beautiful hazy evening and the views were gorgeous!

this little pool can only be seen from above!

it was a perfect evening ... I really do love Wales ... and off-roading!!
week 37 ... love the soft lighting :)
week 38 ... the trees are just beginning to turn!

I've been wanting to share this with you for the last month but with all the wedding stuff going on I have only just got to it :)

This lovely wooden sign can be personalised with your house name or number.
This one shown in the photo measures approx 40cm wide x 20cm high x 2cm deep.

S is £15

It has 3 coats of exterior varnish for long lasting protection and the 2 screw holes are optional depending on how you want to mount your sign.

As these signs are made to order, please allow 2 weeks for your sign to be made.
well its been 12 days now since we got married ... not sure where the last 2 weeks have gone and I thought time was flying before the wedding!!

We had such a lovely day and the sun shone too!!!

I thought I would share a few photos ... its been really hard to pick as there are so many I love ... this is part 1 :)

we didn't have a professional photographer, so these were just taken by my dad, brothers and Steve's sister.

George, Steve's nephew and best man, picked us up in his lovely truck!

us girlies dressed up at our place with help from my friend Tina. Steve took the dogs and went over to his mum and dads to get dress there and give us some space

It was a really chilled morning, and we had loads of time even though we left at 9.45 as we had been up since 4am!

I realised after, when I looked at the photos, that I should have cleared the dog toys off the decking ... but what can I say ... they are 'real' photos!

my parents and Steves parents :)

me and my gorgeous girlies! ... didn't they look beautiful!

our perfect wedding ceremony would have been in a field or garden, somewhere out doors as thats where I feel closest to God, but thats pretty hard to organise in this country. We are both pretty shy and so although I am a christian, the idea of being in a crowded church and the centre of attention for so long was just horrid and making me feel really sick. So we decided that a quick registry office wedding with only close family was far easier for us to cope with, so thats what we did ... the room only held 20 so it was a bit of a tight squeeze, with brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and parents, but we managed it and it was perfect ... and I didn't feel nervous at all!

my dad managed to walk me in ... all 10 yards of the room!

we exchanged our vows, and had a kiss ...

then took lots of photos!

and it was done ... we were married!!
