magpie monday :: LOTS OF CHINA

Remember the pretty jug and sugar bowl I showed you last Monday? ... well I got a sandwich plate that kinda goes with it ...

It is white with a pretty gold trim ... only £2.39 from eBay

It says 'Mayfair' on the back ... not sure if that's a brand or where it was being sold ... will have to do a little research ... but I love it ... anyone for cheese and cucumber sandwiches?

Now from looking at my blog and previous Magpie Mondays you may have guessed that I love pink & roses and so I was delighted to find this pretty set in 'Utter Clutter' (fast becoming one of my favourite shops in town!)

The cups are quite little ... more like coffee cup size ...

... 4 little cups and saucer

... a sugar bowl and little dish

It was £8.50 for the lot ... not as cheap as Teri's tea set she bought the other week, but I love it and it goes so well with all my other bits :D

... and ... I got more ... this is getting to be a bad addiction!
These 2 little plates were from the same lovely shop I got the jug and bowl ...

they were £3 for the pair and so pretty I had to have them ... one is slightly bigger than the other.

... and then I got these little beauties ... a pair of place name holders / card holders / menu holders ... what ever you want to use them for ... 99p the pair ... so ickle and cute!

Happy thrifting!

  1. Thank you for the mention Maria :-) What a lovely collection of goodies :-) the rose plates and name holders are lovely. they would make lovely photo holders :-) something a bit different! The little tea set is about the same size as mine :-) tiny little cups but so sweet :-) isn't it nice to be able to treat ourselves to some lovely bits for our home? xxx

  2. Great finds! I'm a total china addict and the little rosebud set you have was a bargain, there was one in my local charity shop and they wanted £15 for it! :)
