by my bed

currently by my bed ...

Nocturnes by John Connolly ... brilliant ... this has been by my bed for a few months ... its a collection of short stories so easy to pick up and put down nearly finished it .. very dark, but very good!

Red Mist by Patricia Cornwell ... I love Patricia Cornwell, Bex got me into her books about 15 years ago ... not started this one yet ... it was on offer in Smiths a few weeks ago so was a total spontaneous buy.

The Web & The Clinic by Jonathan Kellerman ... these have been in my pile of books to read for ages ... they were only £1 form somewhere, can't remember where now ... I started The Web and am about half way through, but got packed away when I moved and have only just found them again!

Of Bees and Mist by Erick Setiawan ... I found this in a charity shop ... not sure what its about ... just loved the name ... never bought a book just cos of the title before, but it was only about 50p so thought it was worth the risk ;)

and on my iPad ...
The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown ... I have read a few of Dan Browns books, they are all pretty similar, but I do enjoy them ... only recently started this book so only a few chapters in ... its very easy to read on the iPad ... not used a Kindle so can't compare, but its easier than trying to read books on my iPhone, which I have done before ;)

I seem to have a lot of books on the go at once don't I, I used to be the sort of person that would get totally lost in a book and read it in a day or so (if time allowed!) but since my break down I find it a lot harder to concentrate ... I really miss being able to read for hours ... I am a lot better than I was this time last year though, I could only manage a paragraph or so, and then would get very dizzy. ... so hopefully will get there again :)

Whats by your bed? Any good recommendations?

  1. That is a lot of books! I get confused if I have too much going at once and then mix up the characters lol, aside from school work I am reading Blessings of a Skinned Knee. I will have to remember these books! Thanks for sharing and I am a new follower! Hope you have a great rest of your week!
