When the boys are just being cute, I have to take photos!
I love how they love each other.
I am so happy that Billy is not an only child anymore. He loves being a big brother.
Look at those eye lashes!
so it's here ... the day I have dreaded since the day he was born ... the day I hoped would never come, but you know what, now it's here I am actually quite peaceful about it ...
Billy started school today and this was the best picture I managed to get!!
His biggest upset was having to wear uniform ... but he did look cute!
We talked long and hard about home schooling him, and I would still love to, we even went to a wonderful homeschooling group on Friday mornings for a couple of years, but I had to face reality, that I have limited energy, that I have some other goals which I need to put my energy into. It was a really hard decision to make, and some of it was that as we are quite rural, with no other children near by, for him to have the friends we want him to have, that I would have to be off out with him a lot to clubs and groups and I just don't have the energy for that.
We are very blessed to have a school not far from us, a small school with a lovely caring ethos, a school that focuses on a lot of outdoors activity ... the only school I feel peaceful about sending him to. He is only part time to start with, so we can both get used to it ... how did my baby suddenly become a school boy?
Billy has a farm set and we have been collecting lovely animals for him ... but a farm can always grow and when we saw this for £10 on Facebook we couldn't resist getting it!
There were some animals with it, but I passed them on to Steve's mum so she would have some when he goes over to visit, but the buildings are lovely and such a bargain at £10!
The other weekend Billy and I went to the carnival ... and we even went in a float!! I was dressed as a flower and Billy was a mouse ... we were having a tea party with the mad hatter!!
It was the best day and we had so much fun ........... oh and our float came 2nd!!!
So it has taken me a little while to get round to making Billy a lamp shade for his room (not the end of the world as he is still in with us!) But I am really pleased with how it turned out! I had a little of his curtain material left, which was luckily the right way round!
so we had a sunny weekend!!
I really hope its going to last!
We bundled Billy and Timber in the van and popped down the road to the pool. (We left Dilly as she has ulcers on her eyes at the moment and didn't think dirty pool water was a good thing for them!)
Billy did get out the van and have a wander about, this was just while we grabbed a drink!
Timber decided the middle of the pool was a good place to howl!
